Philosophy
Stuart Longcroft started GingerBread Web Design in 2008 with the sole purpose of helping charities, social enterprises and not for profit organisations achieve their aims with regard to their web presence. As a long time employee of a national registered charity Stuart discovered that web design companies could charge whatever they wanted to design, maintain and upgrade websites knowing that you could not do it yourself. After his 3rd quote of over £8000 he decided to embark on a series of courses to learn how to do it for himself and realised it isn't that hard! After learning HTML, PHP and CSS coding Stuart was introduced to Joomla! by a fellow student and has never looked back.
Given the current economic climate GingerBread realise that 3rd Sector organisations cannot afford the huge costs of bespoke web site development using in house software with the need for costly maintenance, however they need to be 'on the web' and want it to look good. GingerBread aims to help them achieve this in the most cost effective manner possible, using a combination of free software with our expert training and design and development work. The best bit is that you aren't tied into us for maintenance or help, you choose the level to which you want our, or another developers involvement.
So before you sign up to costly design houses offering functionality that you just don't need at prices you cannot afford, give us a call or drop us a message and see what we can do for you.
The GingerBread Team.
